"There's no question that it's getting harder," said former Frisco school trustee Buddy Minett, who is co-chairman of the PAC. He and other bond supporters worry that voters will be complacent and not show up because previous bonds passed with such high margins.
"We're trying to let them know that's not the case and the world is changing," Minett said. "People are much more sensitive to paying attention to their tax dollars. … So we want to make sure our stakeholders know all the facts about it so they can make an intelligent decision and go out and vote."
He said the growing skepticism about government spending nationwide has meant more local districts seeing questions raised about bond proposals, particularly in the last year.
