moved to Los Angeles in 1944.While working at Gotham Delicatessen he persuaded his movie star customers to let him shoot their weddings.Buddy
also got a night job developing pictures for the camera girl at the legendary nightclub Ciroï¿½s.After a stint in the Naval Reserve, he served as a sergeant of the California National Guard in Korea, where he was a photographer and editor for the regimental newspaper.
returned to Los Angeles, Buddy
began making photographic reproductions for Robert Miles Runyon, Ken Kin and Saul Bass.He
soon opened Stat House (now Powerhouse Electronic Imaging), which became famous for its 24-hour service, impeccable quality and quick turnaround.Buddy
made Stat Houseï¿½s first deliveries on bicycle, which he
soon traded for a motorcycle as Los Angeles sprawled and Stat House became a darling of the cityï¿½s top designers.
