, of the governor's northern office, said a special legislative session was called for campaign financing.Some in the Assembly are opposed to public money financing campaigning, Luchterhand
said, and a proposed ban on campaign fundraising between the day the state's budget is announced and the day it is approved may go into effect.
"So this year, there would've been 10 months!"Luchterhand
Officials are also looking to a complete statewide smoking ban, though he
said the majority leader isn't in favor of a complete ban but of phasing it into each area separately.The Tavern League
has a lot of sway in the state, though, Luchterhand
wants to see is that insurance companies be required to insure autistic children.He
said autism is a growing epidemic in Wisconsin.
Along those same lines, Luchterhand
said BadgerCare Plus now allows children access to health care in lower-income families.
