A retired vice president of Northwest Airlines, Moon returned to a full-time art career in 1987. Living the experience before each painting is Moon's prerequisite, so to understand lions he lived with the late George Adamson of "Born Free" fame in Africa.
His African experience with big cats shaped his interest in domestic cats and confirmed his lifetime association with dogs. What followed was another unpredictable series of offbeat whimsical art for which he has become so popular.

A wonderful picture by Bryan Moon in which various breeds of dog are depicted as police constables.

Bryan Moon was born in Southampton. After working as a a technical artist for Vickers Limited he emigrated to the United States 1966 and is now an American citizen. In America, Bryan Moon continued his career in the aircraft industry, and eventually served as Corporate Vice President of North West Airlines. He took early retirement in 1987 to pursue his interest in exploration and art. His art hangs in many museums and galleries across the world, including the Army & Navy Club in Washington DC and the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Moon was born in Southampton, UK. He studied design in college, and then served with the Royal Air Force. He went to work for the Vickers Company and became their advertising director. He later served as advertising and public relations director for Aloha Airlines. In 1968, Moon began a 20-year career with Northwest Airlines, becoming Vice President of Advertising. He is a member of the American Society of Aviation Artists and his artistic skills were put to work around the world. In 1990, Moon began a second career, that of searching for missing military airmen in foreign lands. He helped locate five of the Doolittle raid aircraft. Other searches led him to Romania's Ploesti oil fields, the jungles of New Guinea, Japan, and Sicily. Moon and his son, Christopher, have led dozens of search missions and discovered the remains of scores of airplanes and missing crew members.
