Bruce Tuttle, District Superintendent
The Danville District Superintendent is The Rev. Bruce Tuttle, former director of Congregational Development and Evangelism for the Virginia Conference.
'Bruce will bring a deep well of proven pastoral leadership to the Cabinet,' said Bishop Charlene Kammerer. 'His passions in ministry include evangelism and disciple-making.

Tuttle graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in history and taught at the high school and community college level.
While serving as the lay leader at St. Matthew's UMC in Goochland County, he accepted a call to ministry.
While attending seminary at Duke, Tuttle
served Mount Olivet UMC in Pittsylvania County.
In 1986 he was the founding pastor of Courthouse Community UMC in Virginia Beach.
went on to serve Lynnhaven UMC, also in Virginia Beach.
In 2000 and 2004 he was elected a clergy member of the conference delegation to General and Jurisdictional Conferences.
wife Rebecca have two grown children and two grandchildren.
