Bruce D. Perkins President - Healthcare Services Segment
Bruce Perkins is President of Humana's Healthcare Services Segment, with the responsibility for Concentra (urgent care, occupational medicine, and employee worksite services), Humana Pharmacy Solutions, SeniorBridge/HumanaCares (home care), primary care physician practices and MSOs (MetCare), LifeSynch (behavioral health), all clinical operations and provider contracting.
Since Bruce joined the company in 1976, he has worked in various financial and operational leadership positions - including CFO, COO, and CEO of the company's flagship hospital, and later as regional vice president for Humana's Florida Region hospitals. Bruce later served as regional vice president and divisional president for multiple Humana health plans.
Since 1999, he has led the development of the company's national provider network, which is now the nation's largest network of providers who serve Medicare beneficiaries. In 2007, Bruce assumed responsibility for Humana's behavioral health entity - LifeSynch, and in 2008 he assumed responsibility for all clinical and pharmacy operations. Bruce has overseen the growth of Humana's pharmacy operations into the fourth-largest Pharmacy Benefit Manager in the U.S., and the development of Humana's home care business which provides chronic care support to over 200,000 Humana members.
In addition to his Humana responsibilities, Bruce serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Louisville College of Business, previously served as treasurer of the American Association of PPOs (AAPPO), and previously on the Board of the Louisville Zoological Foundation. Bruce holds a bachelor's degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Louisville.

Bruce Perkins announced the State Board of Health is considering adopting new school regulations.
