Bruce's interest in electronics started with a Tektronix build-it-kit from Toys?R'Us.
He went on to study Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Since 1994, he has been with Analog Devices where he builds new circuits and device technology for high-speed automated test machines and for high-precision portable health care products.
is active with the Boston Section of the IEEE
, the world's largest technical society and the professional home of engineers.
Most recently, Bruce served as the Section's Chair (2010), leading a team of over 200 volunteers and a small local office staff in delivering professional education through chapter meetings, short courses and conferences.
Currently, Bruce is working with the Section's pre-college education committee to expand programs and to get students excited about engineering.
In this spring semester, Bruce will be teaching an after-school Citizen Schools apprenticeship in Solar Race Cars at the Salemwood School in Malden, Mass., together with colleagues from ADI and from Raytheon.
