Director, Gilbert Jimenez, today announced the addition of Bruce D. Coomer
to the state business attraction and development efforts.

..."In addition to serving as director of Corporate Business Development for Southwest Transfer/Atlas Van Line and a vice presidency before that with ABC/Allied Van Lines, Bruce has extraordinary expertise gained from years as a member and officer of the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED).In his years of service to AAED, Mr. Coomer served as President (2002-03), did six stints as a committee chair and was named 1998 Member of the Year.Prior to moving to Phoenix from Colorado in 1995, Mr. Coomer also served as Board President of the Optimist International Club in Boulder.
"I've always had a passion for giving back to my community and state," says Coomer
."I've been doing a lot of economic development as a volunteer, and with this position it's invigorating to be professionally involved fulltime and using my business and sales expertise to make Arizona a better place for our grandkids."
Asked about his
greatest accomplishment to date, Coomer
says, "Being married to my wife Carol for 32 years, having three grown children and six grandchildren."Coomer joins Commerce effective immediately, assisting statewide marketing and business development efforts.
