" We are looking for people who are interested in making a difference in their community.
Volunteer tax preparation is both easy and rewarding," said Densing, BFNC Hope Center Coordinator.
The BFNC Free Tax Network has eight different tax locations within the Buffalo area.
Volunteers are encouraged to select one of the sites that is convenient for them.
Training and materials are free, and there are a variety of positions available such as; greeter, screener, tax preparer and/or quality reviewer.
Free Tax Program is all about our community uniting to assist taxpayers in receiving a quality, free service that helps each person access valuable tax credits and financial education; bringing hard-earned money directly back into the community," Densing
"Volunteers and participants who are willing to give their time and energy to this beneficial program are making a great contribution to our community."
Last year BFNC and the Free Tax Preparation Network (FTPN) completed over 8,500 Federal tax returns, representing $13.5 million in tax refunds and more than $5.4 million in Earned Income Tax Credits brought back into the local economy.
