Mexico Public Safety Assistant Director Brice Mesko says fire crews were called at about 2:45 Saturday afternoon and arriving crews found flames licking at the base of the shed.
Crews were able to put out the fire before it did much damage to the shed. The woman who reported the fire says she was burning the leaves when it grew beyond her control. She tried to put out the fire, but it spread through the dry grass and leaves to her shed before going to the neighbor's yard.
