JONESBORO - Brian Morris, an account executive with Sooner Sports Properties at the University of Oklahoma, has joined Arkansas State University's staff as assistant athletic director for development. Morris begins his duties Friday with the Indian Club, ASU's fund-raising and booster organization.

has set for the athletics programs at ASU

." Morris has worked with Sooner Sports Properties in Norman, Okla., since May.In that time, he increased new business sponsorships by $125,000 and managed an active corporate sponsor list of more than 50 corporations.
While at OU
also was in charge of the printing, sales and distribution of game day programs.Morris
also oversaw stadium signage, promotions, radio advertisements and internet sponsorships. Before joining Sooner Sports Properties, Morris served as the assistant AD for athletics development at OU, where he personally raised $1 million in capital giving in 2004.He
also was heavily involved in setting a department record in giving by assisting in managing OU's
$16 million annual giving program with more than 10,000 donors.
