Brian R. Monteleone, Ph.D. is the president of Psychological Services of Charlotte and a licensed psychologist in North Carolina and Indiana with 17 years of clinical experience. In addition to his administrative and clinical work at Psychological Services of Charlotte, Dr. Monteleone is the Clinical Director of the Sensory Center, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, which provides individualized, multi-sensory treatment for individuals with Sensory Integration Disorder and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
Dr. Monteleone earned a doctoral degree from Ball State University and completed his residency at the Salem VA Medical Center. He has received a broad, diverse clinical training that includes specialties in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Addictions, and Sport Psychology. During his 17 year career, Dr. Monteleone has worked in private practice, as a sport psychologist, Clinical Coordinator for an inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals, Clinical Director of a federally funded juvenile boot camp program, and counselor in a residential treatment center for dually-diagnosed adolescents.
Currently, Dr. Monteleone works with children, adolescents, and adults by utilizing therapy and psychological assessment. As a philosophy, he believes that "how you think affects how you feel and what you do each day. Dr. Monteleone works with a variety of clinical diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, autism, Asperger's Disorder, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, addictions, and family issues.
In 2009, Dr. Monteleone was named the Sport Psychologist for the eGolf Tarheel Tour and has enjoyed working with high school, college, and professional athletes for many years.

Dr. Monteleone and the athlete review the results together to answer questions and to collaboratively develop a plan to achieve your athletic performance goals. A Sport Profile can be completed for most adolescent and adult athletes. Athletes out of town will be provided feedback via phone consultation.
Training Dr. Monteleone completed a year of Sport Psychology training during his Internship with Dr. John Heil, the Sport Psychologist to the US Olympic Women's Fencing Team.
