BRIAN MCGINLAY 2014 Brian McGinlay ARCHITECT Brian studied architecture at the University of Strathclyde and gained his Masters in Advanced Architectural Design [AAD]. He graduated from university in 2003 and qualified as an architect in 2006. Brian worked for JM Architects / McKeown Alexander in Glasgow for 3 years, working on a large number of education projects before joining NORD in early 2007. As a senior architect within NORD, Brian has gained a wealth of experience across a variety of work sectors with a particular expertise in the civic, arts and residential sectors as well as having work­­ed with prominent listed buildings. Brian is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary design teams in the running of a number of NORD projects, one of these being the redevelopment of the multi award winning Wasps 'South Block' Creative Industries Hub in Glasgow's Merchant City. Brian's design led focus is a key factor in project design development at every stage; he is also responsible for coordinating the practice's internal design reviews, which are central to NORD's approach to the delivery of high quality design. Brian is currently a Year 4 Design Studio Tutor for the under-graduate course at the University of Strathclyde.

Brian McGinlay
Brian studied architecture and building design engineering at The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He has worked at a number of architectural studios, namely NORD and JM architects, before establishing McGinlay Bell. Brian is currently a Year 4 design studio tutor for the under-graduate architectural course at The University of Strathclyde and is also a regular invited review panel guest to the Glasgow School of Art.
