As the Director of Marketing for CIO Executive Council
, Brian Hawthorne
is responsible for developing the marketing strategy and the tactical marketing elements that drive revenue for the council.
directs all aspects of the Council's marketing efforts globally, including enhancing the brand, digital/social marketing, CRM/relationship marketing, sales collateral development, competitive intelligence, product launches, lead generation, customer retention, marketing campaign metrics, member engagement marketing, and online tools.
Brian joined the Council in November of 2011, after spending 16 years in the telecommunications industry, where he held a variety of roles within sales, sales engineering, vertical marketing, field marketing, and marketing programs development.
His career has included positions with Verizon, MCI, Broadwing, Focal Communications and AT&T.
Prior to joining the council, Brian was responsible for developing and implementing the global go-to-market plan to promote Verizon's Financial Services practice.
