Business owners and county leaders meet Wednesday with Brian Gion, CEO of Montana Cooperative Development Center, second from right, to discuss housing needs for business employees.
On Wednesday, the idea was the center of a roundtable discussion during a Richland Economic Development meeting between 17 representatives from the county, local businesses, banks, real estate, developers and job service, and Brian Gion, CEO of the Montana Cooperative Development Center. Gion said a cooperative could work here because the participating employers have a vested interest in maintaining reasonable costs for their employees. "You do have a say in what goes on in that building," he said. A member can sell out at anytime. "This is a business venture," Gion said.
