Franklin coach Brian Bales rallies the Wildcats.

seventh season as the Wildcats boys basketball coach and was recently selected as the school's next athletic director.
"This was intriguing for me because I could be the athletic director and still remain the basketball coach at Franklin," said Bales
, a 1995 Franklin graduate.
Bales, 37, is currently the in-school suspension director at Franklin.
"I always thought I wanted to be an administrator of some type, whether it be an athletic director or an elementary school principal," he said.

development of the school's athletic facilities.
Bales, an All-Ohio performer in football, soccer and basketball during his junior year as a Wildcat, has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Lee (Tenn.) and a master's degree in education from Marygrove (Mich.).
