Client Services Director Brent has always been a fixture of the Dashboard team, focusing his energies in the automotive business for the better part of a decade. Working with the OTDAA, Brent has overseen the early evolution of their digital strategies (Counter Spy), corporate sports sponsorships, events and charitable partnerships. Teaming with Barry Hillier, Brent built the first fully integrated digital strategy for the OTDAA. Brent came to Dashboard from the International Academy of Design. At the academy Brent created the design and development collective, Engine 13, a mobile digital agency capable of fulfilling complex online projects for traditional agencies thin on digital talent and ability. It was through Engine 13 that Brent and Barry first met Not long into the relationship, Dashboard provided Brent an opportunity to become its' first full-time hire and take on account management responsibilities. Brent oversaw OTDA, Sunlight, AXE, Vaseline Intensive Care, LUX Spa and Chattem Industries. As the OTDAA business evolved and grew into a full online strategy, Brent focused all of his energies in the automotive sector, overseeing two complete website launches, planning online media strategies, as well as creating best in class features such as 3d vehicle walkarounds, Google Maps integration and applications utilized by sales staff to fulfill retail promotions(Sales Summary Centre/OTDA Communication Centre). Brent took a brief hiatus away from Dashboard where he spent time at Ryan Partnership, an agency focused on Retail Promotion, as their Digital Strategist and Creative Production Manager. Brent immediately jumped into their Mattel account and spearheaded bold new online initiatives for classic brands Hot Wheels and Barbie. Brent took the brands online with a new focus on educational content to support their retail initiatives and drew raves from the Mattel head offices in the U.S.. Brent also worked on digital and in store promotions for Glade (SC Johnson), Perrier and Hilroy School Supplies. Never losing touch with his connections at Dashboard, Brent re-entered the picture as the OTDAA account director in late 2008. Armed with new insights on automotive marketing and social media, Brent dived back into Dashboard with a renewed energy. Upon his return Brent focused heavily on developing a strong Parts & Service strategy that involved both digital and mailing initiatives. During this period Brent was able to oversee successful launch of the Off-Peak Email System and uncovered major flaws in TCI data practices that were directly affecting PSTDA ROI. Brent has positioned himself as an influential automotive digital and social media professional throughout North America. His new blog "The Reluctant Car Guy" has already been featured on major US networks such as Automotive Digital Marketing Professional Community and by third party vendors on both sides of the border.
