Brent Kohere Named New President at Annual Membership Meeting January 26, 2012 On Wed., Jan., 25th, 2012,the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) swore in Brent Kohere, regional vice president for Home Properties, as the new NJAA president during their annual membership meeting which took place at the Imperia on Easton in Franklin Township. Mr. Kohere has been a member of the NJAA since 1995 and has been a board member for many of those years, playing an active role in advocating for legislative issues important to the NJAA. "I am honored to serve as president of this prestigious organization," said Mr. Kohere. "As a member of NJAA's board, I learned a lot about the organization's advocacy efforts and look forward to continuing to work on initiatives to pass legislation that will benefit our members and residents." Mr. Kohere also hopes to encourage members to raise their level of commitment to the NJAA. "I was brought into the organization by a colleague, Peter Weidhorn, when I worked at WNY Group, Inc. and really appreciated what being involved did for my personal and professional growth. I hope members will recruit new members from their organizations, like Peter did for me, and that they will take advantage of the NJAA's educational classes that provide industry information and promote career growth." Mr. Kohere has lived in Fair Haven, NJ for 22 years with his wife, and has three grown sons.
