Dr. Brent Harper is an Assistant Professor at Radford University in Physical Therapy and maintains clinical practice at Advanced Physical Therapy of Virginia in Salem, VA.
Dr. Harper has primarily practiced in outpatient orthopedics since 1997.
has completed a 2-year residency in orthopedic physical therapy and a 2-year fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy under the direct instruction of Ola Grimsby through the world renowned Ola Grimsby Institute
He is presently a Full Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).

He has clinical and administrative experience, has worked as a staff physical therapist, a facility manager, as a hospital director of the orthopedic surgery service line, and as a director of rehabilitation services, which included managing a wellness center.

MDT), is certified in dry needling (Cert.DN), is diploma trained in Fascial Manipulation® part 1 and 2, is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a Certified Kineso® Taping Provider (CKTP), is ASTYM certified, has completed advanced training in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and is a Functional Movement System (FMS) certified exercise professional.
He has served as an item writer for the Specialization Academy of Content Experts (SACE) in Orthopedics through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) for the orthopedic clinical specialist examination and as a Subcommittee Reviewer for APTA residency/fellowship applications for the Committee on Clinical Residency & Fellowship Program Credentialing (APTA).
has an active line of research with multiple publications and presentations.
