There are 250,000 uninsured West Virginians who lack prescription drug coverage and cannot afford medications, said Brenda Dane, the executive director for WVRx.
"Everybody knows someone that is uninsured or has no prescription drug coverage," she said. "WVRx is growing, but there are still many West Virginians who don't know anything about us and how we can help."
Gino's/Tudor's will distribute about a million brochures at their 350 locations, explaining what WVRx is on every pizza box and all orders, Dane said.

The program has 20,000 participants enrolled in its database and is hoping the partnership raises its enrollment to 50,000, Dane said. More than $4 million in brand-name medications for chronic diseases to eligible patients have been dispensed.
WVRx does not handle generic medications or any controlled drugs or substances, Dane said. But it can refer people to the best and least expensive places to get those medications.
A major goal of WVRx, Dane said, is to keep people out of emergency rooms and lower overall health care costs.
"One goal overall is to help people find medical homes as well as connect to their medications," she said.
"It keeps them out of emergency rooms and reduces health care costs overall.
"But, more importantly, we aim to insure that every person that approaches WVRx is met with dignity and respect because oftentimes it's hard to tell somebody you can't afford something."
Dane said a lot of people they want to reach out to are those who have a health plan, but it doesn't cover prescription drugs.
"Oftentimes people think because they have health insurance they're not eligible for WVRx when, in fact, if you have no prescription drug coverage and fall within the income guidelines, then we can help," she said.
"If you don't fall within the income guidelines, then we can guide people to the place they can get medications either for free or at the least possible price."
In order to qualify, you must be a West Virginia resident with no prescription drug coverage and your family total household income must be at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, which for a family of four is about $42,400 a year, Dane said.
There is a $30 annual fee for participation, but because WVRx is a barrier-free program, it can waive the fee depending on the situation, she said.
Dane added, "I don't think we've turned anybody down yet and I sense we won't."
