Branimir Gvozdenovic, Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro organized a working dinner together with Mr Dusik to foster an exchange of views and form a common approach among South East European leaders ahead of what we call the 'Parliament of the Environment' taking place on 23-27 May in Nairobi.
Minister Gvozdenovic thanked UNEP for its continued support in advancing sustainable development in South-East Europe. "I am glad that this occasion will serve also as an opportunity for ministers to hear more details about the upcoming UNEA2 session and UNEP's work in our region," he said. "It is my firm conviction that the sub-region of South Eastern Europe can align and agree on the joint role at UNEA and I invite colleagues to join me in this mission," he said.

Branimir Gvozdenovic is Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism from December 2012.
He graduated from Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica. In 2001 he was appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Economic Policy and Economic Development and he served total of three terms of office. After the parliamentary elections in 2009 he entered the new Government as the Minister of Spatial Development and Environmental Protection and he served in the office until the end of 2010. During his professional career Mr. Gvozdenovic acted as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (Electric Power Company of Montenegro) and Board Member of Post Office of Montenegro. He was one of the founders of IT Achievements Festival (INFOFEST), the most significant regional ICT manifestation. ??His professional affinities are related to intensifying economic and democratic development of Montenegro, and to assisting in the process of accelerating European and Euro-Atlantic integrations of Montenegro.
