Brandon CornejoBrandon Cornejo is a fourth year M.D./Ph.D. student in the Medical Scientist Training Program and Department of Pharmacology at the University of Colorado.His doctoral thesis is focused on investigating the impact of early life seizures on spatial learning and hippocampal synaptic plasticity.Brandon's work will contribute to a better understanding not only of the glutamatergic mechanisms of synaptic plasticity but also how these mechanisms may relate to cognitive impairments following early life seizures.Following the completion of his Ph.D., Brandon will return to medical school to complete his M.D. training.He hopes to enter the field of Neurology where he can combine his interests in clinical medicine and neuroscience.
