Brad hails from the "Buckeye state," originally from Norton, Ohio.
He graduated in 1996 from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio with a B.S. degree in Neuroscience before entering the M.D./Ph.D. program at the Medical College of Ohio.
doctoral research investigated the role of brain excitatory glutamate receptors in the expression of drug-withdrawal behaviors after chronic use of benzodiazepines.
residency training in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital
current research interest focuses on the management of Cystic Fibrosis-related diabetes.
is married to wife Kathy, a speech-language pathologist, and they have two children, Paige and Sam.
enjoys spending time with his
family, as well as playing soccer and reading Tom Clancy novels.
