Walking onto the GABBA in Brisbane last year with the Mackay Nitro's is a special memory Brad Best
will cherish, but it's not his
most unusual experience at the Queensland cricket ground.
Wearing only Skins compression gear, Brad
found himself out the front of the Gabba during a rain-interrupted test match.
While the Australian and Sri Lankan teams were seeking shelter, Brad
and his friends were joined by members of the Brisbane Lions AFL team for mini-cricket, where legend Leigh Matthews even joined in.
Born and bred in Moranbah, Brad is River City Motor Groups Sales Manager, for Mackay Land Rover and Power House Ford's used cars.
The father of two moved to Townsville in 2006 to further his
sporting career, before returning to Mackay in 2007.
has been part of the premiership winning Mackay City Hawks and during the swap of seasons puts on the whites for the South Mackay Sharks.
But the field which he
takes most joy on, is the local park where he
children Lilly and Brady having a ball.
