"In that loss at Moses Lake we let some old bad habits take over and it was a reminder of what can happen when we don't stay focused," said Eisenhower coach Brad Ackerman.

"Hopefully what they learned in the last two weeks, how they got refocused on the little details, will go with us to state," said Ackerman, the CBBN's coach of the year in his 11th season. "Remembering who we are and sticking with that will take us farther than trying to do too much. I just want them to be themselves."
Winning league and district titles were well-defined goals for this team, as was a trip to state. With that in mind, Ackerman doesn't expect the big stage to be a sensory overload for his team.

"It feels good and it's good ... [cached]

"It feels good and it's good for the kids because winning is contagious," said Eisenhower coach Brad Ackerman, who was at the helm when the Cadets were a state fixture several years ago.

"We have started slow every match so this is pretty indicative of what we've seen," Ackerman said.
"The younger players that we have infused our program with have really, really been a solid foundation to build on this season," Ackerman said.
