Dr. Bonnie Sneed
Dr. Bonnie Sneed , director of choral activities at the University of Alabama in Huntsville talks about choral music, at first it could sound like she is talking about fabric. It's certain that she is talking about her life's passion. "Half the students in the choir are not music majors; they're engineers and scientists and English majors," Sneed said from her UAH office.... "They are doing this because they have a passion for singing. It's a pleasure to share that with other people - that's what we live for." Sneed and the 35 members of the Concert Choir will share that passion and vocal range with students and their parents in Fayetteville during a concert that will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church.... The program will demonstrate the textures of vocal music from early Baroque choral music with its filigreed parts to the sensuous jazz of the 20th century. "You just don't hear live choral music like this very often," Sneed said.
