Bonnie received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Alvernia College in Reading, Pennsylvania.
While teaching sixth grade at St. Paul's Catholic School in Reading, she began work on her master's degree in early childhood education at Penn State.
taught in Reading for two years before marrying her
late husband, Louis.
They moved to Red Bank, New Jersey, where Bonnie taught Kindergarten for one year at St. Jerome's Catholic School.
They have two children, both graduates of FCDS
: Elizabeth, Class of '95, and Anthony, Class of '98.
has been affiliated with FCDS
since 1982 as a parent, volunteer, committee chairperson, substitute teacher, teacher's assistant, and finally as a classroom teacher.
She has been a member of the Piedmont Association of the Education of the Young Child (PAEYC) for several years, and currently serves on their board.
In 2005, Bonnie
was inducted into the Beta Mu Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International
Bonnie and her family are one of the founding families of Holy Family Catholic Church in Clemmons, where she has served on the Education Committee.
hobbies include reading, gardening, exercising, and going to the movies.
especially loves foreign films, particularly Italian and French films.
