Boe Leslie: Rapids director
...Boe Leslie, the former collegiate and professional hockey player who brought his knowledge and coaching talents from western Canada to Baltimore two years ago as a skills instructor, has been named hockey director of BYH through 2009.His
duties include oversight of the Susquehanna Rapids.Boe
, 31, will refine and advance BYH's
mission to develop skilled players, recruit effective coaches and form and maintain competitive teams, including at the AA youth and nationals-bound (Tier I) girls level.Boe will oversee all BYH programs, provide continuing education for coaches and a progressive skills development plan for young players.

, whose dad coaches a professional team in
Europe , will serve as head coach of the 2007-2008 Baltimore Stars Midget U18AA team.His
duties as hockey director include coaching oversight of the Susquehanna Rapids girls program, supervision of player evaluations and skills development of players throughout the hockey year.Boe
will conduct a 14-under girls summer camp at Ice World in July and coach Stars spring tournament teams.
A native of Manitoba, Boe
played youth and Junior Hockey in before moving to NCAA Division I hockey at
Lausanne and Chur in the Swiss National League, as well as the British Super League
with the Sheffield Stealers in . In addition to years of coaching experience at summer hockey camps throughout the , Boe
has worked with kids teaching English in South America and
Asia . During his
years of travel through hockey and teaching, he
has learned to speak German, Swiss German, French, and is proficient in Spanish.
