Emcien, Inc. announced another valuable addition to its management team today by bringing on Bob French as Director of Global Sales.
Bob joins the Emcien team with over 30 years of professional experience in the software industry, holding various sales leadership roles. In his last position as Director of the Financial Services Business Unit at Spotfire, he was responsible for launching the product into the Financial Services Industry. Prior to joining Spotfire, Bob spent 14 years at PeopleSoft, holding several Sales Management positions. In 1994, he was asked to establish and lead a team to market to the financial services space. Within three years, Financial Services was the leading market for PeopleSoft. In 2002, Bob was asked to create a new methodology to launch PeopleSoft's Middle Market. By changing compensation plans from a revenue model to a transaction model and partnering with smaller consulting companies, he was able to create a sales methodology that, in 2003, was launched throughout the company. "I am very excited to become a part of the team'', said Mr. French. "I believe strongly in Emcien's products, business model, focus and market approach. Emcien's suite of applications built on pattern detection algorithms is delivering game changing results to organizations looking to harness the power of data for unparalleled competitive advantage. Also, the passion, experience and technical expertise of our team have given Emcien a solid foundation to allow it to become the dominant pattern-based application software vendor," he added. "Bob brings an impressive track record of experience and performance to Emcien", said Sig Mosley, President at Imlay Investments, a private equity fund that has invested in Emcien.

"We've really outgrown the software we have," O-Cedar CIO Bob French says.
For instance, the applications O-Cedar uses in its distribution area are no longer adequate to meet client demands for tracking order and shipping status. "PeopleSoft applications are flexible enough. We won't get stuck with another heavily customized client-server implementation," says French, who declined to provide details about financial savings.

Says Bob French, PeopleSoft project leader and CIO at O-Cedar, "PeopleSoft's Supply Chain Management solutions will help us meet our continued growth initiatives by improving operations efficiency and managing customer profitability.
"In shopping for software vendors, we found that other mid-market Supply Chain solutions couldn't compete," French said.
