Mrs. Scott was born Oct. 10, 1921 at Captola (Fisher County), Texas.She married Billy G. Scott Feb. 13, 1965 in Sweetwater.Mrs. Scott was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Sweetwater and a lifelong resident of Sweetwater and Fisher County.She worked as a waitress for many years at J.J.'s Cafe and also worked at Doris' Sweet Shop.Survivors include her husband, Billy Scott of Sweetwater; one god-daughter, Ollie Monroe and husband, Billy of Champion; three step-daughters, Billie Nell Warman of San Antonio, Linda Gail of Almagordo, N.M. and Glenda Scott of Las Cruces, N.M.; several nieces and nephews; and seven step-grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, Billy Scott of Sweetwater; one god-daughter, Ollie Monroe and husband, Billy of Champion; three step-daughters, Billie Nell Warman of San Antonio, Linda Gail of Almagordo, N.M. and Glenda Scott of Las Cruces, N.M.; several nieces and nephews; and seven step-grandchildren.

Keith Clifton.Burial will follow in the Sweetwater Cemetery.Mr. Scott died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Coke County in a truck accident.He was born on May 11, 1927, in Sweetwater.He married Lillie P. Rogers on Feb. 13, 1965, in Sweetwater.Mr. Scott was a World War II Army veteran and spent his life as an independent truck driver and left this world doing the job he loved to do.He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church and lived in Sweetwater all of his life.Mr. Scott attended Sweetwater schools and enjoyed weekend trips and country and western dancing.Survivors include three daughters, Billie Nell Wareman and her husband, Robert, of San Antonio, Linda Miller and her husband, Ronnie, of Alamogordo, N.M., and Glenda Scott of San Antonio; his goddaughter, Ollie Monroe and her husband, Billy, of Champion; one brother, A.J. Scott and his wife, Myrline, of Sweetwater; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
