Will Willis joined Compass as an advisor in 2004 and will be a member of the first fund's IC.
He brings 26 years of experience in the senior management of consumer and packaged goods companies.
He is currently Chairman, CEO and President of On-Site Analysis, Inc. - a Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-based technology incubator which secures strategic partners to commercially exploit technologies once they are developed and deemed commercially viable.
The company's customers include many Fortune 100 Companies.
Mr. Willis has been with On-Site since 1997.
Concurrently (since 1994), he is Chairman and CEO of Willis & Associates, also of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The firm is a multi-faceted management-consulting firm whose clients consist primarily of mid-size ($50-$300 million) and start-up/early-stage companies, and whose projects include strategic planning, acquisitions, organization restructuring, productivity evaluation and enhancement, product development, marketing, business plan development, staffing, CEO "coaching", crisis management, and financial advising.
From 1976 to 1982, he held the positions of Associate Product Manager at Frito-Lay in Dallas, Texas; Product Manager at International Playtex in Stamford, Connecticut; and Vice President/General Manager of the Consumer Products Division of Keyes Fibre Corporation in Norwalk, Connecticut.
From 1982 to 1985, he served as President of Jeno's, with total P&L responsibility for $200 million in sales, having being promoted from Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing after just nine months with the company.
From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Willis held the position of President at The Mennen Company: Paper Products Division in Indianapolis, with total P&L responsibility for flagship company of a new core business (Home Expressions Division) of Mennen.
was promoted to President of C.A. Reed, a subsequent acquisition, as an added responsibility.
After Mennen, Mr. Willis served as President and CEO of Insituform Technologies of Memphis, Tennessee, a publicly traded leader in trenchless rehabilitation of the world's deteriorating underground infrastructure.
Following Insituform, Mr. Willis served as President and COO of MBf USA, Inc. of Ft. Lee, New Jersey, a leader in the marketing and distribution of latex examination gloves to the hospital industry.
During this period, a full line of nutritional products was conceived, developed and introduced in less than nine months.
Mr. Willis is currently on the Board of Directors of Insituform East, Inc.
He also serves as an advisor to Lucas Group and to AvMed Health Plan.
Mr. Willis received a BA in Liberal Arts and an MBA from Columbia University.
