Carolyn and Bill Panzica started Butterwood Desserts in the basement of their 200-year-old home in 1996.
As part of the Underground Railroad, this was once a safe haven for slaves as they made their way to freedom in Canada.Carolyn was trained at LaVarenne
in Paris and also received a degree in fine arts from Rhode Island School of Design
quickly became known as one of the world's top wedding cake designers. Bill
began marketing a wholesale dessert line and soon we were making desserts for most of the fine restaurants and hotels in Western New York.
