As CEO of Silverpop, an IBM company, he has guided the company as it became a leading provider of digital marketing software that enables personalized experiences. Nussey has been honored with numerous awards including Consulting Magazine's Most Influential Consultant in the World, the Direct Marketing Association's Marketing Award of Excellence and the Technology Association of Georgia's Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the author of A Quiet Revolution in Email Marketing and is a regular speaker at industry, business and academic events. Over the years, he has sat on more than two dozen business and non-profit boards including Venture Atlanta and Techbridge.
He earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bill Nussey is CEO of Silverpop and author of the acclaimed book, "The Quiet Revolution in Email Marketing. Nussey has 20 years of experience as a chief executive for technology companies.
Prior to Silverpop, Nussey was president and CEO of iXL Inc., a publicly traded e-business consulting firm. During his tenure, iXL executed its initial public offering, grew revenues from $10 million to $120 million per quarter, and served multiple Fortune 500 customers including General Electric, JP Morgan and Delta.
Prior to iXL, Nussey was an investment professional with Greylock, where he worked on investments including DoubleClick, MediaMetrix and iXL. Before Greylock, Nussey was the co-founder and CEO of Da Vinci Systems.
In 2004, Nussey received the Direct Marketing Association's Marketing Technology and Internet Council Annual Award of Excellence, and was named Marketer of the Year by the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association. He also serves on the board of directors of nuBridges and Air2Web.
Nussey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

He started his first company in high school, creating and selling software that provided enhanced graphics for early text-based computers. In college, Nussey and several co-founders started Da Vinci Systems. As CEO, he grew this company to become one of the most widely used desktop email tools in the world. When he sold the company to publicly-traded ON Technology in 1994, Da Vinci Systems had more than 3 million users in 45 countries.
Nussey later joined Greylock, one of the oldest and most well-respected venture capital firms in the country. He spent several years investing in numerous early Internet companies and ultimately left to run one of the firm's largest investments--Internet agency and consulting firm iXL. As CEO of iXL, Nussey helped lead the company through several years of 250 percent annual growth, ultimately achieving more than 2,500 employees and annualized revenues close to $500 million. While at iXL, Nussey was named the most influential consultant in the world by Consulting magazine.
Most recently, as CEO of Silverpop, Nussey has guided the company as it became the only digital marketing technology provider unifying marketing automation, email, mobile and social into a single solution available across the globe. During its lifetime, Silverpop has grown to 450 employees serving 4,400 organizations across 42 countries. During his tenure at Silverpop, Nussey has overseen the acquisition of leading marketing technology companies such as Vtrenz, PlacePunch and CoreMotives and helped lead Silverpop to seven consecutive years of profitability.
