The crowd listens attentively, in ATL, NYC, and London!
Yesterday at the Def 6 Coffee Break, we were joined by Bill Nussey, CEO of Silverpop which is a digital marketing technology provider recently acquired by IBM. Bill started his first software company in high school, earned his engineering degree at NC State, earned his MBA at Harvard, and went on to become President and CEO of iXL, an interactive agency in Atlanta. Now, Bill is CEO of Silverpop, a company that, much like Definition 6, is bringing marketing and technology together to create a seamless experience for the end user.

Silverpop is actually one of the larger companies that IBM (one of the most successful acquirers in the nation) has acquired. The folks at Silverpop and IBM are currently very busy, and in a lot of meetings concerning the alignment of the two companies. Nussey says:
"Through the alignment, you can see the promise of the vision they bought us for, that we brought to them, coming into focus. We are being invited to increasingly more strategic cutting edge elements of IBM."
Silverpop is also helping influence the IBM sales process. Nussey said: "They sincerely want to know what we know about selling to marketers."
