Bill Bandy, PT, PhD, ATC, SCS
Dr Bandy is a Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Central Arkansas and teaches courses in orthopedics and sports. He was awarded Sports Specialization Certification by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 1987 and was re-certified again in 1997, 2006 and 2014. Additionally, Dr. Bandy volunteered his services to the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996, and he is a former two-term president of the ArPTA. In 2006, Dr. Bandy was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Physical Therapy Association. In 2010 Dr. Bandy was awarded the APTA Lucy Blair Service Award and was inducted into the Sports Sections Hall of Fame. Dr. Bandy has had three textbooks published: Therapeutic Exercise: Implications for Intervention (with Sanders), Joint Range of Motion and Muscle Length Testing (with Reese) and Therapeutic Exercise for the Physical Therapist Assistant (with Sanders).
