Swartzmiller is married to Beverly Spilecki Swartzmiller and is the proud parent of two: Brock, an IT Security Director for Healthsprings in Nashville, Tenn., and Brittany, who works for WPGH Channel 53 as an account manager in Pittsburgh.
Swartzmiller has achieved multiple awards for his work in Hancock County, including the most recently acquired "Hancock County Democrat of the Year" from the Hancock County Executive Committee.
Swartzmiller currently is the vice president of the Hancock County Democratic Executive Committee.
stated the Hancock County
Commission's most major accomplishment of that past year was to balance the county's budget without resorting to layoffs or service reduction.
"Commissioner Dan Greathouse, Commissioner Jeff Davis and I recognized ad took and aggressive, proactive approach in protecting the vital components of our budget," Swartzmiller
also stated he
was proud to be involved, as a commissioner, in the completion of the state Route 8 sewer project and in addressing the need for a more accessible magistrate court office suite.
"The county commission recognizes the need for quality of life and recreational projects and projects aimed at helping children and senior citizens, and projects supporting the protection of the public," Swartzmiller
"(The county commission) will continue to invest in the future of each."
stated the future of Hancock County
lies in the constant administration of the county budget, cautious investment in major capital projects, and continued support in the beautification of the county.
"If re-elected, I will continue to work hard, be fiscally responsible and protect taxpayer dollars, be a great ambassador in representing and promoting Hancock County
and continue to serve the citizens with respect, dedication, and honor," Swartzmiller
