It's tough for Beverly Jean Johnston, first vice-president of the Wyoming Valley Art League, to choose just one of the many exhibits and events in the Wyoming Valley's active art world that was the best in 2009.
However, she managed to recall a few she considers deserving of such an honor. In the future, Johnston has many hopes, but she especially wants the Arts SEEN Gallery on Public Square in downtown Wilkes-Barre, which opened in November, to generate business for the downtown and raise awareness for the arts. Howard Grossman, president, and Beverly Jean Johnston, first vice president, of the Wyoming Valley Art League.
