has won a number of community service awards as well.She is a founding member of the Next Generation of African-American Philanthropists, a member of the Association of Black Foundation Executives, the Council on Foundations and a board member of Project Graduation in Durham. Beverley received a B.A. in public relations and an M.A. in community and industrial counseling from Eastern Kentucky University.

is the proud mother of three girls.When she
