Exel has announced the appointment of Bernhard Stade as the new Seafreight director for Germany and Central & Eastern Europe.He will be based at Exel,s site in Hamburg.Bernhard Stade has 15 years' experience in the seafreight industry. Stade joined Rohde & Liesenfeld in Hamburg in 1989, and relocated to Singapore as assistant general manager in 1992, followed by a two-year stint in Los Angeles, US, and then he was off to Jakarta to handle a special project before returning to Hamburg as assistant to the managing director for Foreign Affiliations.In early 2000 he joined Paul Günther Cargo in Hamburg and headed the German, Dutch and Czech offices in the capacity of director of the Freight Forwarding Division until the Division was sold.He then joined GeoLogistics in Hamburg as manager of Ocean Export.
