"LEAD has a superb record of preparing future leaders for corporate America," said Bernardo L. Tafur, Warner-Lambert vice president of human resources and LEAD board member.
"Warner-Lambert views its sponsorship as an investment in its future."Warner-Lambert
's involvement in last summer's SBI at Northwestern University
included students visiting a Burst Chewing Gum production facility in Rockford, IL. Of course, there's a lot more to Warner-Lambert than chewing gum.The company produces a large line of consumer products known throughout America and the world from Actifed cold medication and Benadryl anti-itch cream to Listerine mouthwash and Schick shaving products.Prior to their visit, the students prepared a marketing plan for the chewing gum brand, which they then presented to Warner-Lambert
"The participants at Northwestern
last summer seemed to really immerse themselves in the Warner-Lambert activities," said LEAD President Garvey Clarke."It apparently was a good experience for the corporation itself, too.

Alumni Find Great Job Opportunities On-Line
The search for summer internships and other great employment opportunities with corporate sponsors has recently become much easier for LEAD alumni. As promised, this year LEAD National
replaced the paper version of its Placement Project Directory with an on-line version. The original directory was first produced in the early 1990's, when LEAD's
corporate sponsors and alumni both requested a means of getting in touch with one another regarding employment opportunities.
Now LEAD alumni can easily search the Internet for challenging positions with LEAD's
corporate sponsors. The Web site (www.leadnational.org) posts positions in a password-protected area.
