In December of 1993 Brad and Shauna created a youth focused program called Bent Arrow that provided services to 16 to 24 year old youths who wanted to secure employment, return to school and were looking for a new direction in their lives.

Bent Arrow was created in 1994 when Brad and Shauna Seneca identified the need for programming for Aboriginal children and families that would be based in traditional Indigenous teachings.

Most of Bent Arrow's programs are provided for free. Bent Arrow receives funding, donations, in-kind donations, and raises funds to provide programming and services. Bent Arrow's programs and services are available because of staff, volunteer, and partner dedication, supports, and resourcefulness.

The Board of Directors for the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, wishes to convey their pleasure in reporting to the membership and staff of Bent Arrow, that again we have had another successful, challenging and exciting year in providing supports and services to the Aboriginal children, youth, adults, and families involved with our programs, as well as the multicultural Foster Parents who provide homes for the Aboriginal children and youth in care. Bent Arrow has also been even more successful in working with municipal, provincial and federal partners for the betterment of our Aboriginal community.
