PWO WRESTLELUTION 3’S TOP FIVE “DEFINING MOMENTS†- #4: BEN FRUITH STANDS UP TO BENJAMIN BOONE
Ever since his contract was purchased by "Amazing" N8 Mattson & "Big Bear" Benjamin Boone, aka The Sons of Michigan, Ben Fruith has been bullied, embarrassed, harassed, and humiliated. The Sons went 0-2 at PWO’s biggest event this past summer, with Boone putting all the blame squarely on Fruith. Boone is determined to bring championship gold into the group before the return of “Amazing†N8 Mattson, the leader of the pack, imminently. Can Boone keep Fruith focused, in-line, and under his thumb? Plus: Comments from Benjamin Boone & Ben Fruith - The Sons of Michigan! The Sons went 0-2 at Wrestlelution 3, and their follies were escalated further when little Ben Fruith finally stood up to Boone and slapped him across the face. Benjamin Boone has been in a volatile state of mind ever since he was pinned for the first time in two years by PWO TV Champion Omega Aaron Draven at Wrestlelution 3 (our attempts to speak with Boone about his loss led to this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGNbkZ-6C0Q). Word has it Boone has, not surprisingly, blamed this loss on Ben Fruith's courageous display of standing up to Boone and slapping him directly in the face, an act many call long overdue. Word has it Boone has, not surprisingly, blamed this loss on Ben Fruith's courageous display of standing up to Boone and slapping him directly in the face, an act many call long overdue. Omega made history at PWO Wrestlelution 3, becoming the first man to pin "Big Bear" Benjamin Boone in two years, a feat many deemed improbable if not impossible, but a clear showcase as to the true meaning the PWO TV Title has to Aaron Draven. After a six month pursuit, and recovery from serious head and neck trauma caused by Boone, Omega was finally able to re-capture his PWO Television Title from “Amazing†N8 Mattson, effectively taking N8’s “No rematch†contract stipulation between the two and using it against him. With N8 legally unable to challenge Draven, Mattson sent his “Son of Michigan†protégé Benjamin Boone into battle at PWO Wrestlelution 3 with the goal of taking the TV Title back to the state of Michigan. Boone has not been pinned by ANYONE since aligning with N8 Mattson - a time period that has lasted almost TWO YEARS! With Boone focused on the title, Omega will have to find a way to pin the “Big Bear†to emerge victorious. And how will Ben Fruith factor in? It’s a modern day David vs. Goliath with the TV Title at stake. Can Omega be the first to pin Ben Boone in two years? Ben Fruith’s contract was acquired by N8 Mattson & Benjamin Boone, The Sons of Michigan, so that they could have their own personal servant to push around and do their odd jobs. "Omega" Aaron Draven defends against "Big Bear" Benjamin Boone Draven attempted to use speed and his death-defying arsenal to weaken Boone, but it only went so far. After several minutes of Boone demonstrating frightening power and dominance, and sheer determination, Boone motioned for Sons of Michigan lackey Ben Fruith to get involved. However, moments earlier, Fruith had been physically and verbally manhandled by Boone following Fruith’s loss to Portia “Dr. Monstrous†Perez, a match made by Boone himself, where Fruith refused to strike a woman. Fruith, however had no issues about striking Boone, as a retaliatory slap from Fruith brought a roar from the crowd. As Fruith stormed out of the arena, Boone was left a on his own, and the miscommunication allowed Omega to recover and achieve the near-impossible. After a breathtaking 450 splash, Omega Aaron Draven has pinned Benjamin Boone. Boone in his place, with a focus and intensity we have seen building for months. Since aligning with Mattson, no one has been able to pin Ben Boone, a streak that has lasted nearly two years! Boone is at his best as he looks to take the PWO TV Title back to Michigan, but Omega will have to beat the near unbeatable to survive. Mike Tolar, Marion Fontaine, Jimmy DeMarco, Bobby Beverly, Gregory Iron, Michael Façade, Bobby Shields, N8 Mattson, Benjamin Boone, Jason Bane, and several others all made serious bids for the title, and PWO management put Johnny Gargano through the most grueling schedule of any titleholder in PWO history. After a stint with Mike Tolar that resulted in becoming a glorified servant, Fruith’s contract was bought out by The Sons of Michigan, N8 Mattson & Benjamin Boone. Mattson and Boone began chastising and browbeating Fruith for embarrassing the group, not holding his weight, and being a total failure. After Mattson’s suspension from PWO a number of weeks ago, Boone was left in charge of the fate of the gullible loveable Fruith, and gave him an assignment where Fruith would HAVE to prove himself. How will Benjamin Boone & N8 Mattson react if Fruith finally wins??? At the time, still just building his unmatched wave of momentum, Boone lost his opportunity at the PWO TV Title without ever being pinned due to the 4-way one-fall rules. This was the end of Boone’s championship aspirations for now, but soon he would once again become very intertwined with the title, and the champion. With Boone, now more fearless and intense than ever, by his side, Mattson reigned as champion for most of the year, proudly boasting that “The best wrestler on television in Ohio… is from Michiganâ€. The PWO TV Title further ignited N8’s territorial war against the Buckeye State, and aspirations of proving his native Michigan was far superior. Many of Mattson’s greatest successes were largely due to the involvement of Benjamin Boone, though in turn Boone himself was N8’s greatest success, giving Boone the focus and intensity to succeed. While the Sons of Michigan assumed Omega was gone from PWO permanently, just as they had done to Virus, Omega resurfaced six weeks later in dramatic fashion, immediately taking the fight to Benjamin Boone. However, karma and irony struck as, after Boone was removed from ringside, Omega defeated N8 to capture the TV Title for the second time! As an irate Mattson protested, demanding a rematch, he reminded of the fate he had unknowingly sealed for himself… there would be NO rematch. With that, Mattson found himself mad at the world, and chose to unleash his personal Big Bear to get the job done. With Mattson barred from the building on Sunday afternoon, August 1st at PWO Wrestlelution 3: A Defining Moment, the pressure will be on his apprentice to fight for the honor of Michigan. Benjamin Boone has not been pinned in PWO for nearly two years. While some have found a way around him, none have found a way through him. With a title at stake, a DQ or countout will not be sufficient in ridding the threat of Boone - a rematch would be in order. Omega knows he MUST come into PWO Wrestlelution 3 with the goal of doing what no man has done in that two year span - he MUST pin Benjamin Boone, somehow. Boone has only grown more powerful the longer he has been at N8’s side, and with overwhelming size and power in contrast to Omega, it may be a case of the champion simply being outmatched. For Omega to retain possession of that which he covets most, he must find a way to accomplish the near-impossible. On Sunday, August 1st, “Omega†Aaron Draven must beat the unbeatable. “Omega†Aaron Draven must pin Benjamin Boone - but how? Boone is being sent into battle focused and animalistic thanks to “Amazing†N8 Mattson, who will be banned from the building at PWO Wrestlelution 3. However, Boone has not been pinned since aligning with N8, a streak that is now nearly TWO YEARS long and counting! Omega in recent months has been a tad on the unorthodox side, dare we say goofy, after a number of head injuries throughout his career, but regardless of his usual head-scratching demeanor, whenever the subject
