Benita Adams is a successful TV and radio host, author and motivational speaker. She has worked in the media and communications field for nearly 30 years. Most recently, she worked at WVEC, Channel 13 News, an ABC affiliate, in Hampton Roads, VA.
Her passion is helping Baby Boomer and Middle Age Women, 40 years and older, in their Midlife journey of Transformation & Reinvention. She helps women walk through their first, second and third acts.

We've learned that WVEC (13/ABC) Hampton/Norfolk Traffic Reporter Benita Adams is doubling as the Arts and Entertainment Reporter for VBTV (Virginia Beach Television, Cox Cable channel 48). Her segment, "Around Town with Benita Adams," will highlight the arts, entertainment and historical events in the City of Virginia Beach. It's scheduled to begin airing this month. She will continue to report traffic for Channel 13.

It was pointed out to me that the piece posted on Wednesday about Benita Adams's exit from WVEC-TV contained an error. Adams was with the station for ten years NOT 20 years as first posted.
VARTV used an article published about Adams in The Virginian-Pilot in 2009 for station tenure.

Belo WVEC (13/ABC) Hampton 10-year morning traffic reporter Benita Adams has been let go by the station. She joined Channel 13 in 2003.
A post on the station's Facebook page stated, "she is no longer with WVEC. It was a management decision back in January. A post on Adams' Facebook page made it appear that she was blind-sided by the decision.
Adams has been replaced by Chesapeake native Ashley Smith who was crowned "Miss United States" in 2011.
