?The aircraft dictates when certain parts will be dismantled, so some parts may or may not be removed at given times during the process,? said Ben Nattrass, owner and operator of Worldwide Aircraft Recovery of Bellevue, Neb. ?Each part has to be removed sequentially as it had been built, so we have to discover how to take the plane apart as we go.
?We?ve had a lot of outside interest, because this is a historic aircraft,? he said.

Worldwide Aircraft Recovery Ltd. restored and transported a F9F-5 Panther now on display at the Combat Air Museum at Forbes Field.
In August 2001, the Bellevue, Neb., company transported the fighter from the museum to Hawkins, Texas, to be restored by RSS Aviation. The plane returned on Wednesday.
Nattrass, Worldwide owner, said he has five employees. The company specializes in disassembling, transporting and reassembling aircraft worldwide.Employees have traveled all over the country and have made trips to Honduras and England.
He said employees work closely with museums or military services that need aircraft transported.
Nattrass started the business 25 years ago in Rockford, Ill., but later moved to Bellevue, Neb.He said he attended air shows in the 1970s and fell into the business. He said people had trouble getting planes if there was too much distance between the buyer and the seller. It would be too costly to put an engine in the plane to fly it to its destination plus get a permit to fly it.Nattrass started the business to help facilitate the process.
