Call it his
entrepreneurial spirit or simply a desire to do all things good for his
community, Ben Meador
is as special as they come.
Dismayed by the turnout at a PISD-sponsored basketball tournament several years ago, Meador
wanted to help.His
wife, Janice, asked "Why don't you do something about it?"As he
has so frequently done in what has been a successful more than 40-year business career, Meador
went to work.Next year, Meador, the McDonald's Texas Invitational founder and chairman, will aim at presenting a $100,000 check to the education foundation.He
tournament committee are already hard at work.
Back in 1968, a couple of men with a background in human resources started their own employment agency.Meador
, one of those men, took sole ownership of the company in 1994.
With nine offices providing employees in roughly 18 states, it's hard to imagine Meador
having time for anything other than work.Yet, he
finds the time.Meador is past president of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.Today, he regularly attends the Pasadena Rotary and is a board member at San Jacinto College.
