Born in Galveston and raised in Roma, Texas DeLeon
could sing from a very early age.
As a preschooler DeLeon confidently sang her
ABC's in opera mode.
Music was part of her
school years as well as vocal training in Laredo.
senior year she
met and traveled with a popular Mexican group called Grupo Control
learned about the music industry inside and out for the next six years.
In 2006 DeLeon was hired by a local radio station, then she later joined Univision and the local Fox station as meteorologist in South Texas.
offers, "I always felt that God had a plan for me and opened doors for me." She
was approached by a national talent agency who encouraged her
to apply for the meteorologist position at 9NEWS
She did and landed that job and has been with 9NEWS since.
husband Ivan have three boys, Ivan Jr., 7, Isai, 4 and Izak, 3.
likes spending time with her
family, cooking and watching them play soccer.
