Barbara Kenig | Delivering Love and Easter Baskets in Las Vegas
This time of year Barbara Kenig is known as the Easter Bunny of Las Vegas. She is the founder and coordinator of E BUNNY, a volunteer outreach program that collects and delivers thousands of Easter baskets to homeless and underprivileged children throughout the Las Vegas Valley. She is a firm believer in giving back to her community and has served as a former Board Director of Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas, volunteered for various organizations, and supported the Jewish Family Service Food Pantry. She works full-time work as the founder of In The Public Eye, an innovative communications firm she runs with her husband of more than 25 years, Howard. Kenig began her television and radio career in 1979 and has served hundreds of clients in the auto, medical, and entertainment industries, though specializes in publicity and public relations. Barbara welcomes help from anyone interested in helping her reach her goal this Easter of "one special basket for one special child.
An Interview with Barbara Kenig
For those of us, some of us who live in Las Vegas and are listening to this or reading this, others will live in outlying communities, how can we help support the E BUNNY program, Barbara?
Q: And, Barbara, you know what that says again? Your comfort level to say I'm going to give my phone number for anyone who wants it is that you are personally touched by the E BUNNY program in the sense that not only is it a mission for you to provide Easter baskets for the children but a mission to make sure that we don't have any children who feel forgotten this season. I just have to say it's absolutely inspiring! And when you say, "No matter what faith or religion we have, Easter is a time of hope and renewal," I really hope that we as a community come back and continue to renew your hope and your passion for E BUNNY. Barbara Kenig, thank you so much for joining us.

"We get requests from various programs every year," says coordinator and program founder Barbara Kenig. "Our goal is to find groups and organizations that aren't sponsored by large charities or outreach programs; we look for those who otherwise wouldn't have Easter baskets for the kids. We don't accept monetary contributions," Kenig added.
For further information on donating an Easter basket, e-mail Barbara Kenig at or call 702.498.9808.
