Georgia Barbara Jettinger is a DPhil student at the School of Geography & the Environment.
Her thesis focuses on the collective associational involvement of Senegalese migrant women and men in France. As part of her DPhil she carried out fieldwork in the suburbs of Paris, Dakar and the Senegal River valley region, mainly in Sinthiane. Prior to her PhD she received an MSc in Forced Migration form Oxford University. Before attending Oxford University she studied political science and anthropology at the University of Hamburg, Germany. Her research interest are: transnationalism, migrants political participation, development, remittances gender and generation. Recent publications Jettinger, G.B.
