According to Canby City Administrator Barbara Hoyhtya, a forum was held earlier this year to take public input on the subject and help facilitate a dialogue.
"(The students) gave their speeches, it was excellent," said Hoyhtya
said those questions were addressed when the ordinance was introduced.
"There was some discussion at the council meeting that night too, whether you ban it from city streets or sidewalks because that is city property too," she
said the issue will be taken up again during the Nov. 8 City Council meeting.
