The three-member Clarke County Electoral Board chose Bosserman to replace retiring Registrar Patti Kackley, who has held the position for 14 years.
Bosserman, a 25-year resident of Clarke County, has been office manager with the Clarke County Parks and Recreation Department since 1988.
She,s spent more than 25 years in business administration and management, and has participated in computer technology and software application training through Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown.
During the next two months, Bosserman will take some leave from her current job to learn from Kackley.
Bosserman will also participate in officer training for the county,s election officials in preparation for the June primary races.
Additionally, she will work during the June 14 primaries, when voters will select party nominees for statewide races.
For the first time, Clarke County voters will be using electronic voting machines for the June primaries.
,The county is ready for it,, Bosserman said of electronic voting. ,We,re fortunate that Mrs. Kackley and the Electoral Board pursued purchasing the electronic equipment.
Bosserman is also pleased she,ll continue to work with county citizens.
,We think we,re very fortunate,, DeHaven said. ,We hope she stays around a long time.,
