MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano is mulling to give out cash rewards to policemen who performed well in the government's war on drugs.
Emano, in a meeting with provincial police director Senior Superintendent Manuel Sukarno Alvarez and other members of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office, discussed Monday, October 10, the bounty matrix for law enforcers who will qualify for the cash rewards.
, who has yet to disclose the exact figure of his
intelligence and confidential funds, said the funds would be spent wisely for the benefit of the residents.
"Modako ang atong confidential and intelligence funds kung modako pud ang budget sa next year.
Naay formula ana nga depende sa budget next year kay naa cetain percentage ana," Emano
The intelligence and confidential funds will be liquidated from the National Commission on Audit
There have been suggestions that portion of the incentives will be given every time policemen catch and file charges against drug suspects and the remaining half will be given once the suspect is convicted.
"Pag makadakop naay incentive gamay, kung ma file ang kaso additional reward and kung ma-convict ihatag ang maximum amount," Emano
will disclose the bounty after the matrix was finalized.
The governor, meanwhile, said he
has been getting threats due to the campaign against illegal drugs and illegal gambling operations.
"Halos kada, adlaw kada semana, makadawat ko og threats dili nako kabalo aha related ang threats kay everyday I support the police to arrest criminals and everyday I either create or break alliances so if ever i will be killed today wala ko kabalo why," Emano
According to Emano
, the threats he
received were only there to scare him.
"Dunay text nga moingon undangon na nako pero ang tinuod nga mopatay dili mana manghinadlok," Emano added.
Emano also gave his own take on the first 100 days of the Duterte administration, giving President Rodrigo Duterte a generous rating of 9 out of 10.
Of course and one percent he
can't do everything his
cabinet should work with him," Emano

"A lot of people are claiming that they are promoting tourism but I strongly believe that tourism was not known until I became governor," Emano
"But at some point I have to do something.
What if somebody somehow kung dili mahostage, mapusilan?
Mas dako nga balita," Emano
